Folkstyle Wrestling - Red Room

MWC's RED ROOM:

  • Is best suited for wrestlers early in their career. This is where athletes begin to define themselves as a wrestler.
  • Builds upon the skills learned during the athlete's time in the MAT Program, which focuses on building technique and other foundational skills.
  • Competes in local tournaments against other local wrestling clubs.

Our dedicated Red room coaches instill the mental and physical toughness necessary to succeed in the world's oldest and most challenging sport.  Wrestlers are also introduced to the competition element of the sport as they begin to participate in local tournaments.  As they begin to advance their skills and crave tougher competition, they will be evaluated for placement in the Blue Room.

Folkstyle Wrestling - Blue Room

MWC's BLUE ROOM:

  • Is led by many coaches and clinicians with national and college level experience.
  • Emphases improving and refining technique.
  • Exposes athletes to a variety of wrestling styles, skills, and moves to help strengthen their technique and advance their competitive edge.
  • Stresses the importance of dedication, determination, and discipline. Coaches work with each wrestler to teach responsibility and accountability so they can meet and exceed their goals.
  • Practices are fast-paced with a focus on high intensity drilling with proper and precise technique.

The Blue room coaching staff seeks to develop wrestlers who can compete at all levels and to prepare them for their High School careers and beyond. This is accomplished through advanced instruction, commitment, and dedication. This is the mindset that develops championship level wrestlers.
